Crushed Stichtite + Serpentine (Atlantisite) Sand from South Africa, Medium Crush (0.25mm-2mm) for Woodworking and Ring Inlay, Resin Art, Memorial Jewelry ABOUT ATLANTISITEAtlantisite is a rare metamorphic rock that consists of a purple mineral, named stichtite, that is intergrown with green serpentine. These metamorphic minerals form near areas where hydrothermal alteration has happened in the Earth's crust. This occurs when heated fluids penetrate the host rock and chemically modify other “host” minerals to produce serpentine and stichtite. This particular crushed Atlantisite is of exceptional quality (Grade A), with an even blend of vivid purple and mossy green hues. This unique mix is definitely reminiscent of a serpent or dragon.MATERIAL SIZEOur medium material is considered to be sand sized (fine sand to very coarse sand), ranging between 0.25 millimeters to 2 millimeters. This size is great for most woodworking inlays, memorial and resin jewelry, orgonite pyramids, ring inlay, resin molds, mosaics, terrariums, bezel cups, resin art, embellishments, and metaphysical projects. This material is also a great gift for makers looking for unique supplies or reiki practitioners that enjoy top quality stones.MINERAL PROPERTIESMohs’s Hardness: 1.5 - 2 (Stichtite), 2.5 - 5.5 (Serpentine)Specific Gravity (g/cm3): 2.44 - 2.80Luster: Opaque, DullColor: Purple, GreenOrigin: South Africa EXTRA LISTING INFOThis product is not man-made, mixed with resin, dyed, or stabilized.
