Crushed Petrified Wood Chips from Arizona, Coarse Crush, Gravel Size (4mm - 2mm) for Inlay, Resin Art, Orgonites, and Metaphysical Jewelry ▏ABOUT ⧫ PETRIFIED WOOD▕This crushed petrified wood is from Arizona and formed during the Late Triassic period. At that time, downed trees accumulated in river channels and were subsequently buried by sediment containing volcanic ash. Groundwater then dissolved the silica from the volcanic ash and carried it into the downed logs, where it formed quartz crystals that gradually replaced the organic matter over time. Iron oxide and other trace elements combined with the silica to create the variety of colors that we see in petrified wood from Arizona today. This crushed material has a wonderful geologic story and would be a great selection for your unique mineral project. ▏MATERIAL ⧫ SIZE▕Our crushed coarse material is considered to be pea-sized gravel, ranging between 4 millimeters to 2 millimeters. This size is great for decorating candles, embellishment designs, orgonite pyramids, large woodworking voids, resin art, and metaphysical projects. This material is also a great gift for makers looking for unique supplies or reiki practitioners that enjoy top quality stones. ▏MINERAL ⧫ PROPERTIES▕Mohs’s Hardness: 6.5 -7 Specific Gravity (g/cm3): 2.55 - 2.70Luster: Vitreous, GreasyColor: Red, Brown, Tan, Yellow, GreyOrigin: Arizona, United States ▏EXTRA ⧫ LISTING ⧫ INFORMATION▕This product is not man-made, mixed with resin, dyed, or stabilized.
