The wood was replaced with minerals that make a ringing metalic sound when you tap it. It was purchased from a second-generation rockshop owner, and it is from his personal family collection. The location for this type of wood is no longer accessible and the supply is finite. I spent countless hours researching this particular type of material to obtain some.
